🇧🇷🇮🇹🇨🇱 SudLab presents data about renewable energy and its possibilities at NETNOCOM 2024

Prof. Dr. Liliana De Simone, Associate Professor at UC|Chile and Executive Director of SudLab, presented our newest researches on sustainable energy in Brazil and Chile as part of the academic sessions at the 2nd International Netnography Conference NETNOCON.

The event was convened by Prof. Robert Kozinets, creator of the Association of Netnographic Research, and brought together hundreds of researchers from around the world at the Università del Sacro Cuore in Milan around this methodology that delves into society matters, opinions, and its immediate effects on industry through social media iterations.

Prof. De Simone and her research team were immersed in climate emergencies all over the world that puts on hold the urban infrastructures and identified demands for new compliance and corporate responsibility standards by electric distribution companies.

In SudLab, we believe that data can empower people to advocate for themselves and make decisions to regain urban life as a ways for imagining a possible future made of self-sufficient and non-contaminated technology powered by sustainable energy.

Now, the SudLab team will further develop the investigation with two different approaches: a scientific paper will be published by Prof. De Simone and other associate researchers; and the data collected will be presented through an interface project led by SudLab Associate Pedro Campos, who will integrate data visualization and multimedia content shared by the citizens through geolocalization mapping, that could facilitate analysis and executive decisions. This tool is a customization of SudLab Strategic Contingencies Monitor®️ and will be delivered before the end of 2024.

We are glad to be part of the Netnographic Research Network and looking forward to meeting again in Marseille, 2025. À bientôt! 🇫🇷
