🇨🇱 🇧🇷 SudLab meets leaders in type design for mentoring on upcoming projects

SudLab Project Coordinator and Founder Pedro Campos met Creative Directors from LatinoType and Monotype at the Latin American Typography Biennial Tipos Latinos, 2022-2023 edition.

The Chile summit was arranged by Luciano Vergara, Coto Mendoza y Daniel Berczeller. They made it possible with a calendary plenty of activities hosted at MUT and CORFO, both of them located in Santiago de Chile. Pedro had his type design project Delve, which will be used by a NGO that foster editorial houses, reviewed by Emilios Theofanous, Creative Type Director from Monotype.

Emilios contributed to the Biennial presenting upcoming trends in type; we understand that the most important of them is an upcoming change of paradigm on type as technology — we should be seeing from 2024 and on less type files, but rather type interfaces. This approach is specially interesting if we consider the possibilities of generative graphic design. Monotype is currently negotiating its sell through a buyout firm.
